SUPPORT FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH IN SUTHERLAND SPRING, TEXAS
On Sunday, November 5, 2017 tragedy struck in Sutherland Springs, Texas just outside of San Antonio. This close-knit community lost 26 people; 20 more people were injured in the senseless act of violence when a man came into the morning church service, wearing a ballistic vest and opened fire. We know this community is hurting. The place where many find peace and come together to worship is in need of repair. The entire congregation has been affected. They have lost immediate family members, friends, business colleagues. Those left injured must heal. Those who did not experience a physical injury are certainly suffering and will need assistance.
We want to support this community as they start to heal, and to learn to live with loss. We want to help restore the human spirit in this Texas community.
