On Saturday morning, a gunman with a history of making anti-Semitic threats entered Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life synagogue and opened fire, killing 11 people and injuring six others, four of whom were police officers. The massacre is now being hailed as one of the worst attacks against the Jewish community in the United States in decades. Our hearts break for the people of the Tree of Life community and for those throughout the Pittsburgh area who are experiencing devastation as a result of this attack.
As we start our day with heavy hearts, we are reminded of why Mercury One was founded in the first place: to stand against hate and to restore the human spirit.
If you enter this week feeling helpless — defeated by the news of yet another violent attack against the innocent — we invite you to join us in channeling our collective sorrow into action.
At this moment, we are raising funds to support the synagogue, the families of the 11 innocent people so brutally ripped from this world, the six others who were injured, and the police officers who bravely ran into the line of fire.
Since Saturday, we’ve been in contact with officials in Pittsburgh, assessing the needs of their community. We’ll remain in close touch with authorities, helping in any way we can.
We invite you to join us by supporting our neighbors in Pittsburgh. Please call (972) 499-4747 or click here to donate. As always, 100% of your gift will go to those who have been affected by this tragedy. We thank you for your compassion.
