Mercury One received an email yesterday from Eli Beer, the founder and president of United Hatzalah. He shared an amazing story with me that brought me to tears. Before I get to that, I should probably tell you about Eli and his organization United Hatzalah, which is based out of Jerusalem.
United Hatzalah is a private humanitarian brigade of volunteers that has innovated the process of saving lives by turning motorcycles into ambulances. With their incredible volunteers and innovative technology, they can be at the scene of any emergency in the major cities of Israel in a time frame of 1-3 minutes. The amazing paramedics are all volunteers. They do this because they value and cherish life. They do it because Eli found a way to allow everyday people to become superheroes — and then he built that vision.
Mercury One is truly honored to be a partner of United Hatzalah.
Here’s Eli giving a much better exploration into his amazing organization in two of his TED talks:
“The Fastest Ambulance? A Motorcycle.”
“How EMT Flashmobs Can Save More Lives, Faster.”
Thank you to all of the volunteers with United Hatzalah, and thank you to all those who make it possible for us to work with this amazing group.
I started this by mentioning an email from Eli. It can be found in part II, “Eli’s Email.” There are many more stories to come.
As always, thank you for reading.
