The Nazarene Fund: Seven Dollars Can Make a Difference

Garand is a 12-year-old listener who, instead of just hearing Glenn Beck talk about Christians in the Middle East, decided to actually do something to help.

He saved up $7.00 of his own money to donate to The Nazarene Fund to help persecuted Christians in the Middle East.

Here is the letter he wrote to Mercury One and The Nazarene Fund.

Handwritten note from 12 year old Garand

“Hi my name is Garand. I am twelve. I’ve listened to Glenn Beck talk about The Nazarene Fund. I am glad you guys are helping people and saving lives. I thank you Glenn Beck and Tim Ballard and everybody who works at The Nazarene Fund.” – From Garand

This is why the Glenn Beck radio audience is the best audience in the world. They don’t just sit around waiting on someone else to do a good deed – they jump in as quickly as possible to help.

And that is why we started The Nazarene Fund and Mercury One: to help those in need.

A news update from the Middle East

  • An assult on rebel-held northwest Syria by government forces has pushed some 700,000 people to flee toward the Turkish border and raised the specter of an international crisis.
  • Backed by Russian airpower, government forces have advanced on Idlib (a town in Syria) at a rapid clip since last week, taking back dozens of towns and upending a region where millions have taken refuge since the start of Syria’s nearly nine-year war.
  • A U.N. report last week described increasingly bleak conditions for Syrians in urgent need of shelter and food while fleeing bombardment.

What is The Nazarne Fund doing to help?

Our team is on the ground helping five Christian families – roughly 26 people – and moving them to saftey.

How can you help?

Just like Garand, you can show your support to the families being persecuted in the Middle East by supporting The Nazarene Fund and Mercury One.

Every dollar makes a difference – and if you aren’t able to make a monetary donation, you can give a few minutes of your time to tell a friend about TNF and M1 to encourage their support.

Go the or to donate and learn more about what we are doing. Would you give 7 dollars, 70 dollars, or 700 dollars to help those in need?
