Our Leadership Training Program offers participants a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gain hands-on experience with original, historical documents and learn from program experts and guest lecturers. Every summer, we open our library of artifacts to emerging young leaders who join us for two weeks of researching, exploring, and learning alongside fellow American history fans from around the country.

Over the course of the program, participants not only gain a deeper understanding of American history, but also learn how to question boldly, think critically, and engage in meaningful discourse when confronted with differing opinions. Participants spend the morning in a classroom-like setting and the afternoon exploring our original artifacts collection as well as online resources.

Topics of exploration include:

  • A Biblical Worldview
  • The Truth in History
  • America’s Godly Heritage
  • Early Education in America
  • American Exceptionalism
  • God and the Constitution
  • Reclaiming the Land

In 2018 Mercury One held its second annual Leadership Training Program in partnership with WallBuilders. Over the course of three sessions, dozens of participants explored the truth of America’s founding. Each two-week session involved historical research and lectures from individuals like David Barton, Tim Barton, and Glenn Beck. The sessions also brought participants into direct contact with historical artifacts and gave them the opportunity to explore the artifacts’ original intent.

During this program, participants gained the tools necessary to uncover truth in our history, and learned how to share these truth-seeking tools with others. This year’s participants were in for a treat, as many were able to assist Mercury One with its Rights & Responsibilities pop-up museum. The best way to learn something is to teach it, and these young men and women had the opportunity to share their newfound knowledge with museum guests as they helped guide guests through the exhibit. We’re excited to see how these incredible individuals grow as leaders and truth-seekers in their classrooms, communities, and beyond.
