DISASTER RELIef

HURRICANE helene & milton response

Mercury One is actively responding to both Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton, coordinating two relief operations across the Southeast United States.

Hurricane Helene unleashed unprecedented devastation on North Carolina, more severe than anything our team had ever encountered. From the moment the storm struck, we were on the ground responding—arriving even before the Red Cross or FEMA—to help save lives.

Since then, we haven’t slowed down,

Here’s a look at what our generous donors have made possible in response to Hurricane Helene and Milton:

  • 332,000+ pounds of supplies delivered.
Mercury One transported nearly 332,000+ pounds of supplies directly to North Carolina in the first few weeks—including oxygen bottles, insulin, heaters, generators, food, water, warm clothing, diapers, refrigerators, work boots, and more. This was made possible through the support of Moms for America, America’s Wall of Honor, Operator Solutions, My Patriot Supply, Freedom Square, CFORCE Water, and The Jack Brewer Foundation.

  • Supplies to remote communities.
In partnership with Excel College, we reached unreached communities in the mountains, delivering 75 generator kits directly into homes and apartments within the first month.

  • Clean water distribution.
We funded a truck that delivered purified water to families in Black Mountain, NC. We created watering stations at local high schools, neighborhoods, and the community pool. At the Black Mountain Home for Children campus, we ensured 100 foster children had access to safe drinking water.

  • Rescue and supply operations.
Working alongside Adam Smith, an ex-Green Beret, and Operator Solutions at a Harley-Davidson dealership, we coordinated helicopters, rescues, supply drops, and deliveries of generators and medicine into mountain communities.

  • Meals for disaster victims.
Partnering with Operation BBQ Relief, we helped provide 1,394,700 meals in just 34 days to victims of Hurricanes Helene and Milton across North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida.

  • Operation Blessing support.
In Asheville, NC and Valdosta, GA, we provided over 700,000 bottles of drinking water, 3,360 hygiene kits, more than 200 solar lamps, 484 gallons of disinfectant, 2,340 disaster relief kits, 3,086 meal kits (each feeding a family of four for three days), and more than 13,700 hot meals and sandwiches.

  • Support for veterans and the elderly.
Partnering with The Jack Brewer Foundation, we went door-to-door helping veterans, the elderly, and small business owners recover. We delivered 10,000 pounds of meat, 12 pallets of water, a pallet of hygiene products, and 1,000 pairs of socks, while also removing trees and delivering essential supplies.

  • Starlink internet access.
In partnership with The Musk Foundation, we helped distribute more than 50 Starlink units in the Tampa area to restore communication.

  • Search and rescue support.
We assisted The Cajun Navy, which deployed 50 helicopters for search-and-rescue operations and airdrops in the first week, delivering more than 10 tons of supplies.
  • Private helicopter supply drops.
With Operator Solutions, we delivered supplies directly into Western North Carolina through private chartered helicopters.

  • Family restoration in Georgia.
Supporting Minuteman Disaster Relief, we helped serve 97 families in Valdosta, GA in the first week—restoring homes, clearing roads, and helping families get back on their feet.

  • Leadership on the ground.
On October 3, Glenn Beck and JP Decker, Executive Director of Mercury One, arrived in Asheville, NC with 1,400 pounds of supplies, personally delivering them to families cut off from food, water, and medical care.

  • Supply delivery through partners.
We assisted My Patriot Supply with a semi-truck of food kits, Patriot Mobile with a trailer of emergency supplies, and C3 with a truckload of water bottles.

Hurricane Helene
  • Medical evacuations.
We helped rescue and medevac trapped individuals, including an 83-year-old man showing severe signs of hypertension and a grandmother suffering from a massive infection. Both received lifesaving hospital care they otherwise could not have reached.

  • Meals and fuel assistance.
In partnership with churches and Somebody Cares, we served warm meals and distributed fuel gift cards to families.

  • Restoring communication.
From the beginning, we helped establish communication hotspots, charging stations, and cell towers across North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, South Carolina, and the Appalachian region through the Information Technology Disaster Resource Center.

  • Holiday support.
During the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, we partnered with Operation BBQ Relief and Operation Blessing to distribute holiday meals, host celebrations for first responders, and provide Christmas gifts to families in need.

  • Emergency shelter when FEMA failed.
When FEMA was unable to house families during a blizzard in Western North Carolina, we stepped in. We secured hundreds of hotel rooms, saving lives. Since then, we’ve paid for thousands of hotel stays to ensure families were not left without shelter.

Supply Drive at the American Journey Experience

In response to the hurricanes, The American Journey Experience collected, stored, and sent out more than five semi-trucks of supplies for victims of Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Every single item was provided by the Mercury One family.

Josh from Midland, Texas.

A small business owner, Josh and his partners took off work immediately to gather supplies. Despite multiple flat tires, they delivered five pallets of goods at their own expense.

Monty from outside Austin, TX.

Monty and his family filled a trailer with jackets, water pallets, and more than 100 sleeping bags. He said he could not sit back and do nothing, giving glory to God for the ability to give.

Family-driven community effort.

A Texas family, with support from their local church, filled an entire trailer with supplies. Their children helped gather, deliver, and unload everything alongside volunteers.

Nationwide support.

Groups from College Station, TX, Fort Worth, TX, and across the nation gathered supplies. Thousands of Amazon packages arrived from our wish list, and 46 volunteers packed and shipped goods—contributing over 465 hours to this project.

This is just some of the work the Mercury One family has made possible to help Americans impacted by Hurricane Helene and Milton.

When Americans felt abandoned, We showed up and showed what the power of “We the People” looks like. Our work is far from over and we thank you for your continued support. Thank you for doing more when the government does less.

Long-Term Support

We have not left these communities behind. We remain committed to rebuilding Western North Carolina and beyond.

With Excel College, Adventures Relief, and Operation Blessing, we are rebuilding over 350 homes. Through the Better Together Coalition, 26–33 homes are being built each week, with over 350 scheduled for completion by fall.

  • Supplies from Lowe’s.
In partnership with Lowe’s, we’ve delivered $1,574,573 dollars’ worth of building materials to North Carolina since October 2024.

  • Volunteer facility.
We funded a new housing complex at Excel College that now hosts 150 volunteers daily from churches and organizations nationwide.

    Support included:
    • New carpet in the sanctuary
    • A restored student worship center
    • Two new wells providing clean water

  • Walking with residents.
Beyond rebuilding homes, we’ve walked with families through the entire recovery process:
    • Handling paperwork
    • Covering hotel stays
    • Supplying basic necessities
    • Ensuring nothing is overlooked
  • Critical recovery equipment.
With Somebody Cares, we funded an excavator and skid steer for Operation Pensacola Hope, enabling 50 volunteers to assist with recovery efforts.

With the Jack Brewer Foundation, we launched 15 projects in Georgia and Florida to extend recovery efforts.

  • New homes.
Partnering with We Must Protect: Operation Rebuild, we are constructing six new homes in the Relief and Green Mountain communities.

  • Church restoration.
We have helped rebuild five churches in Tennessee and supported Valley Hope Church in repairing more than 150 homes, rebuilding 12, mobilizing 59 volunteer groups, and providing vehicles, RVs, and 20,000+ meals.

  • Community and arts revival.
We rebuilt and restored The Art Marquee in Asheville, NC, so local businesses and artists can once again thrive and inspire the community.

This is just some of the work the Mercury One family has made possible for Americans impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. When Americans felt abandoned, we showed up—proving the power of We the People. Our work is far from over, and we thank you for your continued support.
