DISASTER RELIef

HURRICANE helene & milton response

Hurricane Helene

Mercury One is actively responding to both Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton, coordinating two relief operations across the Southeast United States.

Hurricane Helene unleashed unprecedented devastation on North Carolina, more severe than anything our team had ever encountered. From the moment the storm struck, we were on the ground responding—arriving even before the Red Cross or FEMA—to help save lives alongside Representative Cory Mills.

Since then, we haven’t slowed down,

Here’s a look at what our generous donors have made possible in response to Hurricane Helene and Milton:

  • Mercury One has helped transport roughly 302,090 pounds of supplies directly to North Carolina -including oxygen bottles, insulin, heaters, generators, food, water, warm clothing, diapers, fridges, worker boots, and more. This was made possible by Rep. Cory Mills, Moms for America, America’s Wall of Honor, Operator Solutions, My Patriot Supply, Freedom Square, CFORCE Water, and The Jack Brewer Foundation.

  • We are partnering with Excel College in North Carolina to get supplies directly to unreached communities in the mountains. We were able to get 75 generator kits delivered directly into family homes or apartments.

  • We funded a truck that is delivering clean purified water to families in Black Mountain, NC. We helped create watering stations at local high schools, near the community swimming pool and in neighborhoods, along with serving water to the Black Mountain Home for Children campus. We were able to get clean water to 100 foster children at the Black Mountain Home for Children campus.

  • We worked alongside Adam Smith, an ex-Green Beret, Operator Solutions, and U.S. Representative Cory Mills out of a Harley-Davidson dealership in North Carolina. Out of this dealership, we have helped coordinate helicopters, rescues, supply drops and are getting generators and medicine to communities in the mountains.
  • We have been serving warm meals to victims of Helene and Milton in North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida. Alongside Operation BBQ Relief, who provided 1,394,700 meals in 34 days.

  • We have helped serve Asheville, NC and Valdosta, Georgia with Operation Blessing – we have provided over 700,000 bottles of drinking water, 3,360 hygiene kits, more than 200 solar lamps, 484 gallons of disinfectant, 2,340 disaster relief kits, 3,086 meal kits, enough to nourish a family of four with three meals a day for three days, and served 13,783 hot meals and sandwiches.

  • We are partnering with The Jack Brewer Foundation who has been going door to door to help veterans and the elderly impacted by Milton – they are removing trees from homes, getting people food and supplies, and helping small business owners get back on their feet. We helped deliver 10,000 pounds of meat, 12 pallets of water, a pallet of hygiene products and 1,000 pairs of socks.

  • We helped get over 50 Starlinks out in the Tampa area alongside Rep. Cory Mills directly after Hurricane Milton hit.
  • We have supported Minuteman Disaster Relief to help serve 97 families since Sept. 30th in Valdosta, Georgia – restoring their homes, roads, and getting families back on their feet.

  • Glenn Beck and JP Decker, executive director of Mercury One, were on the ground in Asheville, NC on Thursday, Oct. 3, delivering vital supplies to families who have been without food, water, or medical attention since the storm started. They arrived with a plane full of 1,400 pounds of supplies.

  • We assisted My Patriot Supply to get a semi-truck of their emergency food kits and supplies to North Carolina.
Hurricane Helene
  • We helped rescue individuals that are trapped in North Carolina. We helped to medevac an 83-year-old man by helicopter who was showing dangerous signs of hypertension. We medevaced a grandmother in North Carolina directly to a hospital so she could receive lifesaving care. She was suffering from a massive infection and her blood pressure was extremely high. She could not get to a hospital any other way.

  • We are partnering with churches and Somebody Cares in NC to serve warm meals and give gift cards to families for fuel.

  • Since the very beginning of this crisis, we have helped put up communication hot spots, charging stations, and cell phone towers across North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, South Carolina, and the Appalachian region with the Information Technology Disaster Resource Center.

Supply Drive at the American Journey Experience

In response to the hurricanes, The American Journey Experience collected, housed, and sent out over 5 semi-trucks worth of supplies for victims of Hurricane Helene and Milton. The Mercury One family provided every single item we collected. We had countless of individuals and families show up with trucks and trailers full of supplies.

Josh, a smaller business owner from Midland, Texas, showed up with a trailer of five pallets of supplies. Josh and his business partners all took off work the second they heard we were taking supplies. They gathered supplies and drove nearly 5 hours to get here. On the trip they had multiple flat tires, but they didn’t let this stop them. Josh and his small business, Revolve Hydraulics, footed the bill to gather and deliver the supplies.

Monty, a donor from outside of Austin, drove here with a trailer full of supplies. He and his family loaded a trailer full of jackets, water pellets, and over 100 sleeping bags. When asked why he gave, he said he could not sit back and do nothing and gave glory to God for a life full of graciousness.

We had a family load an entire trailer full of supplies from their local Texas community about two hours away from the American Journey Experience. Their children were there for the whole experience, gathering supplies, dropping it off, and unloading the truck alongside our volunteers. Their local church helped fill an entire trailer and truck full of supplies.

We had groups and organizations gathering donations for us in College Station, TX and Fort Worth, TX and across the nation. We had thousands of Amazon packages show up as people from all over America ordered from our Amazon wish list and had supplies directly shipped here. We had 46 volunteers help pack supplies and get trucks to North Carolina, serving over 465 hours for this specific project.

This is just some of the work the Mercury One family has made possible to help Americans impacted by Hurricane Helene and Milton.

When Americans felt abandoned, We showed up and showed what the power of “We the People” looks like. Our work is far from over and we thank you for your continued support. Thank you for doing more when the government does less.
