Partnering With Hope's Door New Beginning Center

One of Mercury One’s pillars of service is service to our community while encouraging you to do the same in your own communities. It is from this pillar that we forged a relationship with Hope’s Door  New Beginning Center – a North Texas-based organization supporting victims of domestic and sexual violence.

Domestic violence is defined as any behavior that attempts to assert power and control over another person, specifically an intimate partner…this can be physical, emotional, verbal, sexual, or financial. National statistics show that a staggering 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men will experience domestic violence at some point in their lives. The abuse typically escalates over time and coincides with feelings of fear and shame on the part of the victim, making it difficult for the victim to come forward and seek help.

Programs offered by Hope’s Door

  1. Battering Intervention & Prevention Program (BIPP): a program that helps abusers eliminate toxic behavior
  2. Counseling services to individuals dealing with and healing from the effects of domestic violence
  3. Emergency shelter for those in immediate danger, among other programs

They also offer materials designed to educate the public regarding domestic violence and how to help those victimized by it.

Hope’s Door has made a clear impact on the lives of those suffering from abuse. In one year alone, the organization achieved the following:

  • Answered 3,241 hotline calls
  • Served 21,000 meals
  • Provided 6,800 hours of counseling
  • Provided emergency shelter to 375 women and children
  • Contributed 18,000 hours of community service in North Texas

Mercury One is eternally grateful for the generosity of YOU, our donors, as you join us and the organizations that we support on our mission to restore the human spirit. Thank you!
